Local Roots Since 2004
Dale and Dena Rodgers launched Padgett Window and Door on March 1, 2004, after purchasing the window division of Padgett Manufacturing. Dale’s experience with the business went back to 1990, and the idea for a dedicated window and door showroom began taking shape around 1991. Today, PWD Home builds on more than two decades of service under the company’s ownership, with roots in the local window and door industry that reach back even further.
From Window and Door Expertise to Whole-Home Service
Dale began working as a draftsman and designer in Padgett Manufacturing’s millwork department in 1990. After years of helping grow its window and door business, Dale and Dena purchased that division and opened Padgett Window and Door in 2004. The company initially focused on supplying builders, architects, and designers with quality windows and doors. It later expanded its installation and service capabilities as more homeowners turned to the team.
A Name That Reflects Everything We Do
In 2025, Padgett Window and Door rebranded as PWD Home. As the company grew beyond windows and doors into broader construction and remodeling services, the original name no longer represented everything the team could do. PWD Home brings those services together under one clear identity while preserving the PWD name that local customers have long associated with quality products, dependable work, and responsive service.
Two Generations, One Commitment
Yes. Dale and Dena Rodgers launched the company in 2004, and their son Bryce grew up working in the warehouse, on deliveries, and with installation crews. After building a career in the music industry, Bryce returned to Harrisonburg and joined the company full time, first serving as a project manager as PWD Home’s construction work expanded. Today, the business is moving into its second generation with the same commitment to integrity, care, and doing the right thing.
