A Kitchen Renovation Blending Function and Style
PWD Home recently completed a full kitchen renovation focused on modernizing the space while keeping it cohesive with the home’s existing style. The goal was to update finishes, improve functionality, and create a kitchen that feels both fresh and inviting.
Cabinets and Custom Details
The renovation started with refinishing the textured ceilings and removing the old track lighting to create a clean, modern backdrop. Walls and ceilings were painted to refresh the entire room, complementing the updated cabinetry and finishes.
New cabinets were built specifically for this kitchen, thoughtfully customized to reflect the style and finish of the cabinetry in the home office. This approach creates a sense of continuity throughout the home, making the kitchen feel connected to the rest of the space while still standing on its own. To complete the look, a custom range hood cabinet was added, carefully designed to complement the new cabinetry and provide a focal point over the cooking area. Every detail was considered so the cabinets not only look great but also function beautifully for everyday use.
Modern Finishes
The kitchen now features a quartz countertop paired with an updated backsplash that gives the space a clean and modern look. The new backsplash adds texture and visual interest while tying the countertop and cabinetry together.
To help the island act as a center focal point for the kitchen, luxury wood slat paneling was installed along the front. The natural texture of the wood helps the island stand out without overwhelming the rest of the kitchen.
