Reimagining an Outdated Bathroom
We recently started a bathroom renovation that focuses on rethinking the layout to better serve the homeowner’s needs. What started as an outdated space with carpeted floors and a less functional setup is being transformed into a more comfortable bathroom designed for everyday living.
A Layout Designed Around the Homeowner
From the beginning, this project has been built around collaboration. Our salesman worked closely with the homeowner to understand how they wanted the space to function and feel. The original bathroom included a single shower and a large soaking tub. By removing the tub, updating the plumbing, and extending the closet toward the shower area, we are creating more usable space. The result will be a larger double shower and a more spacious closet, improving the daily functionality of the room.
Comfort Features That Make a Difference
One of the homeowner’s requests was a heated floor. We are currently installing a heated flooring system that will be controlled by a thermostat, allowing for added comfort throughout the year. This upgrade brings a noticeable improvement to the overall experience of the space.
Bringing in Natural Light
The original window location did not work well with the new shower layout, so it was relocated to be centered within the shower area. A large window allows natural light to fill the bathroom, helping the space feel brighter and more open. To maintain privacy, frosted glass was used so light can enter while still providing privacy within the shower.
Finishing Touches Coming Together
As the project continues, tile work will be completed, followed by painting throughout the space. Shiplap will be added to select walls to help them stand out, and vanities, trim, and final coats of paint will bring everything together. We look forward to the homeowner seeing the finished space and enjoying how the updated bathroom improves the way they live in their home.
